Simplicity 2508 – Part IV

I didn’t get as much done today as I’d hoped – my washing machine flooded my kitchen! And I had to fix a toilet problem at DS’ restaurant! Please, dear readers, send some positive energy my way because this is freaking me out. :-O

Since I heard it would be in the 40’s on Friday I am determined to get this jacket finished tomorrow (haha, from my mouth to God’s ears). Everything has been fitted and I finished the sleeves tonight (and I heart them!). Tomorrow is another day! Let’s hope it’s a day without plumbing problems. 🙂

I dug through my shoulder pad stash today looking for some thin raglan pads for this jacket. I cannot wait to share with you the 1980s throwbacks I found. Stay tuned!

  2. I think you’ve been through your required 3… 🙂 Of course the jacket is looking really interesting and waiting to see the finished garment!

    Love your jacket so far!

  4. Fixing a toilet problem at someone else’s restaurant! A mother’s love knows no boundaries! 🙂

The sleeves look amazing. You chose a beautiful fabric for this jacket. I hope you get it done in time for the weather. 40 degrees in South Florida doesn’t happen often!

  5. Hope you have smooth sailing from here on in. LOVE the jacket sleeves!

Oh for heavens sake! Your house seems to be harboring a grudge about something! Keeping my fingers crossed it all works out. The sleeves are just fantastic, BTW, and I can hardly wait to see the coat finished!

OK enough of the nonsense with the fixtures now. Sending you lots of love and positive energy so you can back to some normalcy and into the sewing room. Looking forward to the finished jacket! XOXO

Your Florida sunshine must have fled to Tucson. We just went through three days of below 40 weather and have just returned to highs of 70 and lows in the 50s. Wishing you good plumbing and relaxing sewing.

Well, something has certainly jinxed your home recently. So boom, bam, pow to the awful house beast and order be restored now. Jacket looking great, but the pic sort of reminds me of a 80’s Lauper or Madonna garment-lol. Hang in there.

I don’t know if this is your case or not, but once our plumbing went haywire all over the house – the bathtub started backing up, the toilet wouldn’t flush, etc. It turned out that a tree root had grown into the main line and it was the city’s problem. They came out and dug up that portion of line and replaced it. I love your blog!
