Happy Valentine’s Day to me!

I have been so stressed lately that I decided to pamper myself with these beautiful wedges from Delman. The minute I saw them on Zappos.com I knew I had to have them! Aren’t they adorable? I can just imagine myself wearing them out on a date. Yes, you read that right. Pretty soon I will be single for the first time in 24 years! And what does a single girl need more than cute date dresses and shoes??? Besides, I have all of that extra room in my closet now. ;-)

Some of you may remember that months ago I posted about closing my embroidery business. I’ve done that but still been terribly busy running our restaurant. If any of you have ever been in the restaurant business you know that a light week is 80 hours long! Well, I am selling and hopefully the new owners will be taking over on March 1st. You know what that means: I will be working *normal* hours like a *normal* person and will finally be able to have some time for my beloved sewing! Patterns are all lined up, ready to be altered – I even bought some beautiful German cottons from my good friend Ann at Gorgeous Fabrics last week for a summer dress and blouse as well as some pretty rayon lycras for the new wrap dress from Hot Patterns. As you can imagine, I hardly have any fabric so I had to stock up again. ;-) Seriously, there’s nothing like a new piece of fabric to get you excited, is there?

Have you missed me? Trust me when I tell you that I have missed you, my dear readers, and my sewing immensely. I can’t wait to get back to it!

PS: Here’s a link to the shoes if you love them as much as I do: Delman Lane. They are even on sale!

So great that such a “sexy” shoe can also be seen as “cute” I’m not sure which these read to me first as, which is why I love them. Truely telling of your personality, lets go find you a man who’ll barbque in a tie and that desi arnes apron for you!! Because those look like sexy picnic shoes to me!

  8. Those shoes are stunning! Totally awesome! What will you wear with them? Glad you’re back!

    Hi,

I was reading a Pattern review that you did on the Loes Hinse Butterfly bag. I really enjoyed your review and was curious about pictures but apparently the link in the review no longer works so there is no picture.

Do you have another site with pics of your Butterfly bag? Thank you.
